Tonight I’m back at the Vin Bar in the Hotel Derek for the last time this year (me, not the group). Weekends in Nov and Dec are shaping up as a string of holiday parties at places like Rockefeller’s and private homes butting up to golf courses. Not sure I left any time for a real vacation while taking all these gigs. Meanwhile my parents are urging us to join them for a cruise in January. The thought of drifting across the ocean is lovely. The thought of doing that with 3000 tourists held captive in a floating mall, less so. The preference is to flee to Europe again, France in particular. TBD.
And IJ continues to torment. Page 300 after a month of reading … because I always fall asleep shortly after I begin (awakened immediately thereafter by the weight of a 1097 page book landing on my face); the only time I seem to have for books these days is in the pre-sleep 1am hour. Need to tweak my routine for David Foster Wallace (and others).
Headed to Austin tomorrow for a few days at Senchacon. Can’t remember the last time I attended a software conference. Hoping for good swag at the very least.
For those that care, I added a couple new tracks and also re-mastered (see previous post) my duets EP. If you enjoy relaxed back guitar/piano music, feel free to download the 38MB the following zip file:
http://bit.ly/qQaUGu (6 mp3s, 1 one photo, pdf liner notes, and no viruses).
PS. Someone threw a rock through our kitchen window yesterday. My parabolic analysis of the impact has implicated one of an infinite number of trajectories with a common y-intercept. I think I may have a case of the howling fantods now.

The music is lovely.
And I vote for France (I seem to remember watching an expose on cruise ships where they took a cat-pee light to the rooms – it wasn’t pretty).
Noted. Yikes…
Thanks for the DL, darlin’!
Hi ya Wendy. Hope all is well!
